Radiographer (RAD Tech) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery - 6020 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: PRN (As needed) - Weekdays - Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm Department highlights: Flexible schedule Excellent work/life balance Active Unit Practice Council (UBC) to be sure employee's needs are met Close-knit team with engaged Medical Director Here's What You Need Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire Associate's Degree preferred 1 year of Rad Tech experience preferred C-ARM and surgery experience highly preferred GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire Required And ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 Days Required What You Will Do Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exanm Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits.
