Work Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM No weekends or holidays Seeking an experienced Rehab Manager to provide both clinical and operational leadership within a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation setting. Leadership experience preferred. Neuro rehabilitation experience strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will be passionate about patient outcomes, team development, and driving operational excellence. Job Summary Responsible for providing leadership and directing all activities/services for an area of service within the Rehabilitation Division of WellStar Health System; assumes responsibility for implementing standards of practice, departmental policies and procedures, and maintaining and improving the quality of patient care delivered; assures staff and program compliance with established standards, practices, policies/procedures and regulatory requirements; responsible for overall standards of patient care, financial performance, human resource management, patient/customer satisfaction, appropriate reporting and for coordinating program functions with the operations of other hospital departments to assure quality services at a reasonable cost for patients; responsible for directing age specific rehabilitative practices that address the biological, developmental, psychosocial and clinical needs of the patient and/or family. Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions Coordinates delivery of Patient Care Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for the delivery of care based upon an understanding of current clinical/technological advances in rehabilitative care Continually assesses current trends/clinical/technological advances in the area of practice and takes appropriate action to improve functional outcomes, patient satisfaction and cost effective care. Reviews and updates department/program specific standards/policies/procedures as needed to assure compliance with established standards, standardization efforts and current practice Oversees the daily operation of the program and, in collaboration with physicians, appropriately adapts patient care processes to the assessed needs of the patient/family Assesses, provides for the delivery of and evaluates rehabilitative practices and insures quality of services delivered within the program Ensures that all staff collaborate in the discharge planning process and patient/family education to enable the system to deliver services more cost effectively in the most appropriate setting to meet patient needs Customer/Employee Satisfaction Promotes a positive environment to patients, families, staff and the community Responds to inquiries and complaints effectively and timely and promotes a positive, professional image serving as a liaison between rehabilitative staff, physicians, and administration Demonstrates commitment to teamwork through positive interactions and feedback to/from subordinates, physicians, peers and other customers Accepts responsibility for employee morale and team performance toward goal achievement. Develops measurable, team goals, monitors progress and keeps staff abreast of progress toward achievement. Human Resources Participates in the selection of qualified personnel to ensure competent and adequate staffing Assures compliance with System and facility policies and procedures, standards of practice and documentation standards for all staff Maintains ongoing log of performance on all staff Establishes, monitors and evaluates staff competency and performance Recognizes staff for achievements through positive feedback Oversees the continuing education activities of the staff and encourages continual learning for all staff; including staff participation in both required and elective in services or educational programs Provides for system and departmental orientation of all new employees and verifies credentials and competency of any agency staff utilized Liaison for Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance Coordinates with the Director of Rehabilitation Services on compliance and regulatory standards Develops/implements professional standards for the program based upon recognized standards of care, JCAHO and CARF standards, state/federal regulations and overall system policies and procedures Monitors staff compliance of regulatory standards Fiscal Accountability Assists with the development and implementation of operational and capital budgets that are consistent with system-wide, facility/divisional goals and objectives Assists with the establishment of productivity measures and facilitates program and team achievement of established goals Maintains FTE, salary and expense budgets at or below budgeted levels, demonstrating the ability to review/analyze current/historical data relevant to budget variances. Assists with the development of collaborative approaches that promote quality, cost-effective rehabilitative services across the continuum Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education Bachelors Nursing or Bachelors Counseling or Masters Physical Therapy or Masters Occupational Therapy or Masters Speech Pathology or Masters Social Work or Doctorate Physical Therapy Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. CRC - Cert Rehabilitation Counselor or LCSW - Lic Clinical Social Worker GA or LMSW - Lic Master Social Worker GA or OT - Occupational Therapist or PT - Physical Therapist or RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact or SLP - Speech Language Pathologist Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years in the management of a multidisciplinary staff in the field of rehabilitative services Preferred and Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital environment Required Required Minimum Skills Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team dynamics is necessary Time management skills, leadership skills, prioritization skills and change management skills are necessary to focus on goal achievement for the system.
