On the Rocks Italian Bistro is looking for positive, eager to serve, and detail-oriented individuals for our back-of-the-house service team. As an OTR team-member your purpose will be two-fold: (1) to give every guest a multi-sensory experience that makes them come back for more, often; AND (2) be an effective part of a service team that produces a satisfactory product every single time.

Location On The Rocks Italian Bistro, LLC.

Position Summary

As a Steward , you'll be an essential part of our kitchen team, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. You'll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen to keep everything running smoothly. You will assist in the receiving of product and ensuring everything is placed in a neat and orderly fashion. If you have a great work ethic and enjoy working in a team environment, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

■ Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.

■ Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.

■ Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area.

■ Assist with kitchen prep work and maintaining stock of clean utensils and equipment.

■ Take out trash and manage waste disposal.

■ Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, countertops, and storage areas.

■ Ensure that kitchen sanitation standards and safety protocols are followed.

■ Conduct routine “safety audits”.

■ Assist other team members as needed to maintain a smooth workflow.

■ Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with all kitchen staff.

Requirements & Qualifications

■ No prior experience required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

■ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy-duty tasks.

■ Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.

■ Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

■ Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.

■ Team player with a positive attitude and a great smile.

■ Food Handlers Certification.

We hope to officially open our doors by September 1st, and plan to hire members for the Back-of-House team by the end of July. Front-of-House team members will be hired by mid-August.
