Part Time Faculty Interest Pool - Small Business Development

Position Summary Part‑time faculty are invited to join the Small Business Development Department. Applicants may be considered for substitute or full‑term class assignments during the academic year. Eligibility Applicants must be residents of Oregon or Washington. PCC guarantees reasonable accommodation to applicants requiring it. Instructor Qualifications – Entrepreneurial Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. At least five years of experience in small‑business management, prior ownership, or a significant management role in a small business. Subject Areas of Interest Marketing Financing businesses Financial statements and taxes Business Advisor Qualifications Direct business management and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum ten years of relevant experience, including ownership or significant management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with excellent record keeping. Proficiency in business software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, QuickBooks, etc.). Team player who collaborates with entrepreneurs and partner organizations. Academic Credentials Official transcripts required within two weeks of offer for degrees listed. Credentials must be from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or foreign institution with equivalent accreditation. Foreign transcripts evaluated by NACES‑approved agencies. Veterans’ Preference Veterans: DD‑214 Disabled veterans: DD‑214 and VA letter. Compensation and Benefits Faculty start at Step 1 on the salary schedule. Hourly rates vary by course type.
