A lead teacher at The Cubhouse is responsible for leading a single classroom at our center. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate curricula, managing classroom dynamics, assessing child development, and maintaining strong communication with parents. The Lead Infant Teacher serves as a team leader within the classroom while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. Reporting to the Center Director, this role also includes guiding behavioral practices and supporting ongoing professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum
- Manage daily classroom activities and environment
- Assess infant developmental progress
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s growth and needs
- Provide leadership and support for classroom team members
- Plan and prepare daily lessons and activities
- Guide appropriate behavioral development and interventions
- Ensure safety and supervision of infants at all times
- Engage in professional development to improve teaching skills
- Maintain accurate and timely record keeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in early childhood education
- Degree related to child development or CDA
