As I Am is the brand name. It's also the job description.

We make textured-hair care — Rosemary Water, Batana Oil, Rice Water, Coconut CoWash, the Leave-In your group chat has opinions about. The company behind it was started by a chemist in his garage in 1984, and his family still owns it. A lot of the brands you grew up with got bought by conglomerates. We didn't. Nobody is quietly changing the formula while you're on camera swearing by it.

Rosemary Water blew up on TikTok — with guys with locs, an audience this category had ignored for years — and then walked onto Walmart shelves. That's the loop: the For You Page, the group chat, the shelf. You're being hired to run that loop on camera.

the honest version

Our brand account is a brand account. It posts product, it looks nice, it gets brand-account views. The videos that actually move in this category have a person in them: a face, a wash day, a point of view, a comment section that talks back. We work with a lot of great creators. We've never had one of our own. That's this.

the actual job

• Post 4–5×/week: TikTok and IG Reels (Shorts count too). Wash days, refreshes, retwists, definition tests, does this actually work videos, trend-jacks with a texture lens, replies turned into videos.

• Be the face. On camera, consistently, in your own voice, with an actual opinion.

• Shoot your world. Your bathroom, your barber's chair, your kitchen counter. We ship product; you make it real. Polished-agency energy does worse here than a phone propped on a shelf.

• Live in your comments. Answer, pin, stitch. The comment section is half the algorithm and most of the research.

• Know the science at a human level. Our founder holds 45+ patents; you get a cheat sheet and a chemist you can ask. What does a water do that an oil doesn't should become a video you can make without notes.

• Make it shoppable when it fits. We sell on TikTok Shop. Tag the product when the video earns it. Nobody finishes a hard sell.

whose views count

• Brand channels are home base. Cross-post to your own handle and those views count toward your bonus too — any video featuring As I Am, either account.

• Unrelated content on your handle doesn't count, and it's none of our business.

• Your handle, your audience, your clips for your reel: yours before, during, and after.

the money (read this twice)

• Monthly retainer: for the posting cadence above. Paid on deliverables, not a timesheet.

• Plus a monthly bonus on verified organic views of content featuring As I Am.

• Verified means verified: pulled from your platform analytics on a monthly screen-share. No screenshots, no trust me.

• Organic only. If we put ad money behind your post, the boosted views don't count — we're already paying for those.

• Quality gate: the bonus pays on watch-through and follows, not autoplay loops. Rage-bait, watchbait, AI-generated anything = $0 bonus.

• Claims gate: anything that says or implies a product grows hair, treats hair loss, or is clinically proven is bonus-ineligible, full stop — even when the comments beg. We'll teach you the lines. This protects you as much as us.

• Signed agreement before your first bonus. Standard, boring, non-negotiable.

what we need to see

• One video you made that moved numbers. Link it and tell us what the numbers did. (Screenshots welcome here, and only here.)

• Comfortable on camera. Not could be. Are.

• You edit your own stuff (CapCut minimum) and you know when a trend has three days left.

• You live in the textured-hair corner of the internet — wash day, protective styles, locs, twist-outs, is this product actually good — as a maker, not a lurker.

• Extra credit: a following of your own; a barber, loctician, or stylist in your life who'd film with you; you've bought As I Am with your own money.

• Passionate about beauty with nothing to show.

• You want to read a script for a logo. We need a person.
