Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- RTO Policy: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation and requires DNR.

- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years
- Travelers welcome (1st-time travelers accepted)
- Local candidates accepted (rate difference applicable)

- Skills:
- Inpatient care
- Locked unit experience
- Substance use and chemical dependency management
- Assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and depression
- Management of assault/violence and self-injurious behavior
- Knowledge of psychotic disorders, PTSD, and trauma-related concerns
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Medication administration, including antianxiety, antidepressants, and antipsychotics
- Emergency protocols, including chemical restraints and physical holds
- Understanding of seclusion procedures and voluntary/involuntary commitment
- Blood glucose monitoring and oxygen administration
- Strong communication and interpretation of lab values


- Certifications:
- MOAB preferred
- BLS required


- Unit Details:
- Patient Ratios: 1:7
- Diverse patient population: Adults and Geriatrics with various mental health diagnoses
- Team collaboration across 2 split floors, ensuring comprehensive care
- Support staff includes psych techs for vital sign checks and milieu management


- Scheduling Requirements:
- 36-48 hours weekly
- Every other weekend
- No call requirements


- Orientation:
- 32 hours of hospital orientation during the first week
- Mandatory participation in daily classes


- Unique Unit Equipment:
- ObservSmart for patient monitoring
- Personal panic alarms for safety


- Additional Information:
- Open to floating within the facility
- Strong interdisciplinary support available, including therapy teams
