This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Must be available for every other weekend and be flexible to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, including those with medical, surgical, neuro, and trauma conditions. The RN will work within a 29-bed non-aggregated unit and will manage patients with a high acuity of illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and administer medications as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Manage advanced and specialized equipment as required.
• Participate in professional development and continued education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• ATCAR or equivalent trauma education is required, with an option to complete Sinai's Maryland-approved Insult to Result trauma course.
• Advanced EKG assessment certification required with passing score needed before contract commencement.
