As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Monday 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM Friday 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures and reporting unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or facility concerns to appropriate site contacts. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
