RN ICU Stepdown 17 weeks 601 Elmwood Ave Rochester, NY14642 Start Date:09/28/2026 Short Description:

Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week

Unit: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with 8-bed high-acuity step-down

Patient Care: Brain tumors, spinal disorders, neuroendovascular & epilepsy surgery

• Shift: D/E/N rotating; weekends, holidays, on-call/callback & charge as needed

• Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week

• Unit: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with 8-bed high-acuity step-down

• Patient Care: Brain tumors, spinal disorders, neuroendovascular & epilepsy surgery

• Skills: Q1 neuro checks, EVD/lumbar/subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene, A-lines

• Procedures: Carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clipping, DBS, VP shunts & seizure management

Requirements

• MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE
• BLS
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry Experience

• License: NY RN License ONLY

• Experience: 2+ years

• NIHSS: Required

• ACLS: Preferred
