Food Safety Specialist

Support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in upholding brand standards Ensure exceptional food quality and customer-focused service Conduct assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards Observe food preparation and cooking standards for food safety, health, and sanitation Partner with clients to identify root causes of assessment discrepancies Develop corrective action plans Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplaces Conduct audits and inspections Implement and monitor food safety practices Train and educate staff Investigate food safety incidents Ensure compliance with regulations Maintain documentation and records Requirements Meet the requirements to obtain a CP-FS certification Available to work Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us) Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred ServSafe and/or CP-FS certifications are a plus Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time management skills Ability to influence others with tact and skill Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback positively Ability to thrive in an autonomous working environment Ability to work a flexible schedule Ability to organize and prioritize work based on urgency, efficiency, and other factors Willingness and ability to travel 50%-70%, or 8-10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in food safety practices, regulatory compliance, and client training to ensure high standards in food quality and service.
