Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a part-time phlebotomist for inpatient hospital work in Detroit, Michigan, performing blood collections and specimen processing. The role involves direct patient interaction, data entry, and administrative duties with a schedule of 2-3 rotating days per week plus alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
• Accurately enter patient information and maintain specimen logs
• Prepare specimens for testing and process billing information
• Provide customer service and complete administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ months phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Exceptional customer service track record
