Job Description
The Maintenance person/ handy man role is an individual contributor position responsible for hands-on equipment repair and project-based maintenance tasks within the facility. This role involves routine inspections, safety checks, and timely emergency repairs to ensure smooth operations. Working hours are day shift. Hours vary and may require coming in for emergencies. On occasion, travel requirements for supplies; the Maintenance person plays a key role in facility upkeep and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment repairs and perform hands-on maintenance tasks
- Maintain overall facility upkeep and cleanliness
- Perform routine inspections and enforce safety checks
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests
- Manage inventory and maintain tools in good condition
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
- Monitor compliance with safety and operational standards
- Interact professionally with customers and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in maintenance roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of plumbing and preventive maintenance techniques
- Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment issues
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
