Restaurant Background: On December 7th, 1982, the doors to the very first Ruby's Diner opened at the end of the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. What once was an old bait shop had been transformed into a sparkling diner with authentic antique decor, jiving' tunes from a past time, and friendly service-- Ruby's Diner was seemingly straight from the 1940's. The tiny 45-seat restaurant, which was named after its founder's mother, Ruby, opened with just three employees and a simple menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, and malts. In its first day, it brought in a whopping $63, but most importantly, smiling guests looking to remember a simpler, happier time.Now, over 35 years later, over 30 Ruby's Diner restaurants can be found in all different parts of the country such as California, Nevada, Texas, and Pennsylvania, including mall, casino, and airport locations. We know that people are our greatest resource and we now have amazing opportunities for individuals with Passion to join our team.Position Summary:The Busser creates a welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring the dining room is clean, free from trash and debris, and tables are set up properly. This person works within a team to clear and reset tables quickly between seatings. Additionally, the Busser refills bread and beverages for guests, shows guests to their tables, and performs light housekeeping duties such as sweeping floors, stocking glassware and ice, and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or older.6 months experience as a Busser in a full-service restaurant preferred.Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysBasic to intermediate English communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a team.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.Continuous use of hands and arms.Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview. Eureka Food Enterprises - Ruby's Diner, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
