Anesthesiologist Position
Anesthesiologist Position (2 weeks on, 1 week off) at Baptist Memorial Hospital-De Soto, an acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi. Their highly skilled and experienced doctors, nurses and staff provide a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women's and children's services, and more. Baptist-De Soto was the first hospital in De Soto County to offer open-heart surgery. The anesthesia care team approach provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationshipsled by inspiring and supportive leadership. Currently our care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, who have created a cohesive group.

Case Assignments & Schedule Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off position 18 weeks of 7a-5p shift or 17.5 weeks of call and 17.5 weeks of day shift. Regional, Cardiovascular (CV), EP Lab cases, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, and Well Peds, Pulmonary(bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Requirements MD or DO from an accredited institution Completion of Anesthesiology Residency Board Eligible or Board Certified Current medical licensure ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable) Currently licensed as a physician in Mississippi Board Certification or actively board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesia.
