GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Director of Intensive Behavioral Health Services includes, but is not limited to obtaining and tracking client written orders, resolving issues concerning client authorization of services, and serving as the primary point of contact for related issues of the same. In addition, the director is responsible for managerial aspects of IBHS and related outpatient programs including managerial supervision of IBHS staff, hiring, training, supervision and oversight of staffing client cases for Behavioral Consultants (BC), Mobile Therapists (MT), and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT). Monitoring quality improvement with regard to service provision and clinical documentation. Ensures the provision of services as recommended and managing the resolution of any issues that impede these services.
ESSENTIAL AND CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures the recruitment and contracting of BCs, MTs, and BHT to staff all IBHS contracted services.
- Provide oversight of care coordinators to ensure the staffing of all IBHS client cases to ensure contracted services are delivered.
- Managerial supervision of all IBHS employees and contracted staff (BC, MT, and BHT)
- Evaluates the effectiveness of service delivery.
- Provides leadership and direction to professional and technical staff in regards to the overall operation and implementation of the programs.
- Encourages the integration of services within the community through effective communication and public relations.
- Provides oversight and administration of the authorization process for all IBHS clients.
- Provides clinical supervision and oversight to the Outpatient clinicians in the delivery of therapeutic services to clients.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the CEO and/or COO

- Knowledge and experience with Community Behavioral Health (CBH), state licensing, and staff credentialing regulations.

- To be supervised by the CEO and COO
- Complete Comprehensive Bio-psychosocial Evaluations
- Conduct individual and group supervision
- Engage in training support, as needed.
- Conduct and/or participate in monthly peer supervision.
- Provide clinical support to clients and assist the treatment team in securing services.
- Review and adhere to new policies and procedures in accordance with new policies and procedures.
- Review new policies and procedures
- Completion of addendums, as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time postgraduate experience in the provision of mental health direct service to children, youth or young adults.
- Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker, or be licensed in this Commonwealth as a certified registered nurse practitioner and have a mental health certification or be licensed in this Commonwealth as a social worker with a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum.
Minimum Requirements for Position:
- Have a graduate/bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, human services, public administration, business administration or related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Dept. of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- Valid PA child abuse, criminal history, FBI clearances, and CPR/ First Aid
