Registered Nurse (RN) Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization

Job Description Inova Fairfax Hospital is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization unit. This is a full‑time position with a 5 x 8‑hour shift schedule (8:00 am to 4:30 pm). Job Responsibilities Works as part of an interprofessional team made up of Psychiatrists, counselors/therapists, to provide safe and effective care for patients diagnosed with behavioral health disorders Admits new patients Facilitates an orientation group for patients Facilitates two psycho‑education groups with documentation per day Serves as a liaison between physician and patient for medical questions and concerns Acts as a resource person for all things medical for interprofessional team Obtains prior authorizations for medications and treatment days Minimum Qualifications Experience Required: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment. Special Skills - Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
