About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty License: Registered Nurse license (State or Compact) Certifications: AHA BLS, OR Red Cross Must-Have: - Associate degree in nursing - 1 year of recent nursing experience in specialty - Strong ability to float to other units Description: This is a multi-specialty unit with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry care. Employees must be willing to float to other units as required. This unit offers 36 hours per week with holidays required and every other weekend. The ideal nursing unit for developing a solid foundation for nursing skills and fostering a culture of teamwork. This acute care unit specializes in medical and surgical care, accommodating up to 36 patients. Medical patients may require dialysis and telemetry monitoring, along with other acute medical needs. Surgical patients primarily include orthopedic procedures and general surgeries. The dedicated team provides patient-centered care to support recovery, aiming for optimal patient outcomes. There is a strong focus on pain management, mobility, and prevention of complications. The team is committed to ensuring that the patient experience is pleasant and comfortable in a safe environment. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 and is supported by a team leader.
