Job Summary

In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. You will coordinate between customers and technicians, ensuring that each vehicle receives top-quality care while providing transparent estimates and service recommendations. Duties

• Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of required repairs or maintenance services using estimating software and technical knowledge.
• Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to maximize customer value.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates, communicate repair timelines, and obtain customer approval before proceeding.
• Collaborate closely with service technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the service process, updating them on progress and explaining repair findings in understandable terms.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments efficiently, and manage service writing documentation accurately.
• Promote dealership services by leveraging automotive diagnostics expertise and recommending appropriate solutions for collision repair or diesel engine issues.
• Support the dealership’s auto service management goals by tracking vehicle repairs, managing client relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, oil changes, brake repair, alignments, suspension systems, tire services, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and collision repair.
• Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with clients.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong background in automotive repair or service writing is advantageous.
