Collections Representative - Fort Worth

Collections Representative Join EECU as a Collections Representative and make a real impact while helping members stay on track financially. Responsibilities Negotiate payment arrangements, workouts, and credit counseling for delinquent, charge‑off, and other portfolio accounts. Conduct skip‑tracing and submit accounts for repossession as required. Establish payment arrangements, provide credit counseling, and enforce deadlines. Recommend and process loan extensions or workouts. Apply debt‑collection, privacy, and bankruptcy laws properly. Identify internal process failures that may cause erroneous reporting of delinquency. Audit loans and explain calculations to co‑workers and members. Support and understand deceased, bankruptcy, and repossession accounts. Ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering laws, NCUA Privacy Regulations, FCRA/FACTA, and the Fair Debt Collections Act. Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training. Qualifications 3+ years of collection experience in automobile, mortgage, or credit card portfolio. Two years of customer service experience. High level of understanding of deceased, bankruptcy accounts and repossessions. In-depth knowledge of collection laws and familiarity with bankruptcy laws. Knowledge of Collateral Protection Insurance. Effective communication skills to diffuse tension and calm members. Ability to negotiate acceptable repayment arrangements. Flexible schedule Monday through Saturday; some evenings Monday‑Friday and Saturdays 9 am‑1 pm. Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred. High school diploma or equivalent.
