Family Medicine PhysicianApproved Salary: $200,000-$250,000/year, plus benefitsThe Dimock Center is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our diverse urban community.This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven, collaborative physician interested in building a practice that reflects their individual training and clinical interests. Our multidisciplinary model allows physicians to care for the whole patient while working closely with colleagues across medical and behavioral health disciplines.Summary/ObjectiveThe Family Medicine Physician will manage a primary care panel and provide comprehensive care with the collaboration and support of an integrated team that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical professionals. The scope of practice can be individualized based on the physician's interests and experience, with opportunities to provide care in adult medicine, pediatrics, and reproductive and women's health. Physicians are not expected to practice in all three areas.Essential FunctionsProvide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, integrating preventive, chronic disease, and acute care.Develop a clinical practice that may include adult medicine, pediatrics, and/or reproductive and women's health, depending on individual interests and experience.Manage and follow up on diagnostic studies, hospital and emergency department transitions, and specialty referrals with team support.Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record.Participate in and contribute to quality improvement, population health, and clinic-based initiatives.Identify and lead projects aligned with individual clinical interests and opportunities to improve patient and community health.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and address patients' medical, behavioral, and social needs.Participate in teaching and mentoring opportunities within The Dimock Center and through our academic training partnerships.CompetenciesStrong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills.Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and families across different ages and stages of life.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, and cultural humility in all patient and staff interactions.Commitment to continuous improvement, clinical quality, and efficient care delivery.Interest in serving diverse and historically underserved patient populations.Enthusiasm for developing a clinical practice that reflects individual strengths and interests while responding to community needs.Work EnvironmentUrban federally qualified community health center.Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment.Integrated medical and behavioral health model.Flexible clinical scope based on physician interests and expertise.Opportunities to work across adult medicine, pediatrics, and reproductive and women's health.Opportunities for teaching, mentoring, quality improvement, and population health initiatives.Required QualificationsMD or DO with completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency.Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.Current or eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure.DEA registration and Massachusetts controlled substance registration, as applicable.Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.Experience or interest in community health and caring for diverse patient populations strongly encouraged.EEO StatementThe Dimock Center values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.
