Med Fit Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Tyro, Virginia. This full-time role is integral to providing high-quality physical therapy services as part of our home care program. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving patients' mobility and quality of life through tailored treatment plans.

Work Environment

This position is exclusively onsite, allowing for hands-on patient engagement within our home care framework. The work schedule is structured from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, promoting a balanced work-life atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish individualized care plans that outline specific rehabilitation goals.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, focusing on orthopedic care and employing a variety of treatment modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor and adjust treatment protocols based on patient progress, ensuring continuous improvement towards their rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize EMR software, particularly Web PT, for meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment plans, ensuring that every intervention is tailored to the patient's unique needs.
• Engage patients in discussions about their treatment, promoting understanding and encouraging active participation in their recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring cohesive care and communication regarding patient management.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health and wellness, delivering education on injury prevention and best practices for maintaining physical health.

Med Fit Physical Therapy serves a diverse population, primarily focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients range from young athletes to older adults, emphasizing our commitment to catering to the unique needs of each individual throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Virginia, demonstrating a clear professional standing without sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques, with a firm understanding of multiple treatment modalities.
• Exceptional skills in creating and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs and capabilities.
• Fully competent in utilizing EMR solutions like Web PT for comprehensive patient documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and techniques supported by recent research in the field of physical therapy.

• Experience in outpatient clinic settings with a focus on sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated success in developing patient-centered treatment plans that contribute to improved patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
