Patent Attorney or Agent

We are looking for a candidate with:
• 5+ years of patent drafting and prosecution experience
• A portable book of business
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is particularly desirable:
- Wireless technologies
- Optical technologies
- Patent opinion drafting
Japanese language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparation, filing, and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications
• Analyzing cited references and prior art in connection with patentability and prosecution strategy
• Direct interaction with inventors and clients regarding patent strategy, portfolio development, and prosecution matters
• Coordinating foreign prosecution and PCT filings
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
• Assisting with marketing and business development efforts involving existing and prospective clients
• Collaborating within a team-oriented environment on technical and legal patent issues
