Job Summary We offer a $10,000 sign‑on bonus to support your transition into our organization. Job Specifics Schedule: 4 ten‑hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations. Shift details: Variable throughout the workday. Decentralized shifts across inpatient units including Pediatrics, NICU, ICU, OR, and ED. About the Hospital St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana is a 286‑bed facility delivering compassionate, quality care for more than 125 years. The hospital also provides a number of specialty services. Job Function This position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient, and cost‑effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of the assigned practice. The pharmacist is responsible for patient care and for developing professional relationships within the multidisciplinary team. Essential Functions Review patients’ medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug‑drug interactions; make evidence‑based interventions to optimize medication use and ensure safe, appropriate, cost‑effective therapies; accurately dispense medications. Oversee and participate in ensuring appropriate medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas and stored securely, ensuring suitability for stability and workflow. Provide counseling to patients and promote quality medication education and adherence; ensure patients are well‑informed, treated with respect, and receive the highest level of professional service. Complete all regulatory and compliance training and maintain clear and complete documentation of regulatory requirements; be knowledgeable and compliant with state and federal laws, regulations, pharmacy policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures. Supervise and direct the activities of interns, technicians, and support personnel as required; provide medication‑related clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals. Takes initiative to solve problems, including equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing issues, and extraordinary patient‑care concerns. Identify potential areas for improvement, such as processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction; identify potential safety hazards that may affect patients and staff, and take appropriate action; participate in departmental meetings, contributing ideas or feedback. Support clinic or hospital and system directives, including clinical, compliance, business operations, standardization, and customer service goals. Support local and enterprise pharmacy leadership initiatives. License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances. Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice. Effective communication, people management, and project management skills. Immunization certification, if applicable to practice site needs. Preferred Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system. Board Certification. Health System Residency. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs. Frequent interaction with providers, colleagues, customers, patients, clients, and visitors that requires verbal communication and listening to spoken information quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent computer use for typing and accessing information. Compensation & Benefits Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Hourly rate: $62.89 – $92.44 (dependent on experience).
