Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures such as PCI, Electrophysiology studies, and device implants. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to unit policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer patient care before, during, and after cardiac procedures, monitoring vital signs and patient responses.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians with catheterizations, angiograms, and device implantations, ensuring procedural accuracy and safety.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment and supplies are properly prepared for each procedure.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to call requirements and assist in emergent situations as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or similar setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with electrophysiology procedures, PCI, and vascular imaging.
  
  
• 
  Possess current ACLS and BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and call rotations.
  
  
• 
  Familiarity with Meditech EMR is preferred.
