The James is seeking collaborative and detail-driven Server Assistants to join our team!

About Us: The James is a neighborhood restaurant offering classic American fare in the heart of James Island, Charleston. With a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, The James serves familiar, comforting dishes with genuine hospitalitycreating a welcoming community space that guests love to return to. Locally operated by The Neighborhood Dining Groupthe team behind acclaimed restaurants like Husk, Delaney Oyster House, Minero, and Marbled & FinThe James upholds a culture rooted in quality, service, and people-first leadership.

Who We're Looking For: We're looking for a Server Assistant to support our front-of-house team and help create a seamless, elevated guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Support Servers by clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean, organized tables
Assist in delivering food and beverage orders with professionalism and care
Keep service areas stocked, clean, and guest-ready
Anticipate guest needs and provide warm, genuine hospitality at every turn
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment

What You'll Bring:

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
