Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team.Our client, a global leader in high-performance battery separators, seeks a skilled Project Engineer to oversee and manage various facilities and construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will drive projects to timely and budget-conscious delivery while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Prioritize safety throughout all project phases.
Manage and coordinate projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Conduct regular site visits, monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with facilities management, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration.
Collaborate with external contractors, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects to the highest standards.
Develop and manage project documentation, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, project sponsors, vendors, and community leaders.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in facilities and construction project management.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in project management software, including scheduling and budgeting tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Experience with LEAN and continuous improvement systems (TPM, 5S, Six Sigma).
Proficiency in drawing, blueprints, CAD, Microsoft Office, Procore, or PlanGrid.
Knowledge of engineering standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISO, IEC, OSHA).
Certifications in project management (PMP, LEED AP, CCM, etc.) preferred.
Experience with sustainable design and energy-efficient systems.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
