Adjunct Respiratory Therapy Instructor

Respiratory Instructor – Adjunct (Temporary, Part-Time) We invite applications for our adjunct (temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following Respiratory Instructor. Responsibilities Instruct students in the assigned discipline. Assignments may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites. Minimum Qualifications Applicant must meet one of the following requirements Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges: Any Bachelor’s or higher and two (2) years professional experience OR any associate degree and six (6) years professional experience OR the equivalent. Note: Must hold valid RRT Credential and California State RCP license. Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Equivalency not needed, per faculty division. AND a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (Assembly Bill 1725; Education Code 87360). Application Process Application Current resume Letter of intent that addresses minimum and desirable qualifications. Scanned copy of official transcripts with required degree(s). Foreign transcripts and degrees require official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a certified U.S. review service at the time of application and must identify graduate level coursework. Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year. Applications with incomplete information (i.e., statements such as “see resume”) or missing documents will not be considered. Supplemental Information Each recruitment is conducted independently from others; therefore, interested parties need to submit separate complete application packages for each position they apply. Applicants may be subject to passing an examination (written/technical), as appropriate to the requirements of the position.
