Duties Description As a Psychiatrist 3 (Forensic), you will function as a Director of Psychiatry with over-all administrative responsibility for a major treatment component organized to provide the full range of patient services. You will be responsible for ensuring that treatment programs are planned, organized, and conducted according to patient needs, and supervise, consult with, and serve as a resource to facility medical staff, including but not limited to team leaders and psychiatrists. You will be expected to serve on a variety of committees and provide reports as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State and board certification in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. ANDPsychiatrist 3 (Forensic):Two (2) years of post-board certification professional experience as a member of the psychiatric staff of a psychiatric hospital and/or in the psychiatry department of a general hospital. One (1) year of this experience must have included the clinical supervision of other psychiatrists, psychiatric residents or fellows.ANDCertification in Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
