Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health / Psychiatric in Lewiston, Maine, United States. Start date: 06/01/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 pm-7:00 am). Weekly pay: $1,960-$2,126. Travel - Temporary Assignment. This role is in a crisis-focused behavioral health unit within a larger care system, providing direct and indirect patient care to individuals requiring psychiatric and medical oversight.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process in the behavioral health/psychiatric setting.
- Develop and periodically update individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care; evaluate patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications per policy, perform accurate documentation, and respond to psychiatric crises.
- Apply de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and safety planning; collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; perform psychosocial assessments and support discharge planning and referrals.

Requirements
- Current Maine RN license
- BLS Certification
- CPI training must be current prior to start
- Education: Associate degree in Nursing (2-year)
- Experience: at least 1 year of mental health nursing
- Ability to work in a 24/7 crisis psychiatry setting; availability for 7:00 pm-7:00 am shifts; travel assignment; candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius
