Your responsibilities will encompass: evaluating patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting customized treatment plans tailored to individual needs, and implementing physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and various rehabilitation professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You'll also empower patients and their families through education on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and recommended home exercises. Documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress will need to be meticulous, adhering to both facility and regulatory guidelines. Participation in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings will further enhance coordinated patient care.

To qualify, you'll need a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a related degree from an accredited institution, alongside state licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapist. If you hold CPR certification or specialized credentials, such as in geriatric or neurological care, that would be advantageous, but not mandatory.
