Working Foreman – Tree Operations

We are seeking an experienced, dependable  Working Foreman to lead and work alongside a crew performing  tree removal, tree trimming, and related outdoor services .

The Working Foreman will be responsible for supervising the crew, operating equipment, maintaining safe and productive jobsites, and ensuring work is completed according to company standards. This is a hands-on position for someone with strong  tree experience, bucket truck experience, and leadership skills .

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a crew performing tree and fence work.
• Safely operate and oversee the use of bucket trucks, chainsaws, chippers, trailers, and other equipment.
• Perform tree trimming, tree removal, storm cleanup, and related tree-care work.
• Safely direct ground crews and coordinate daily jobsite activities.
• Evaluate trees and jobsites and identify potential hazards before work begins.
• Ensure proper use of PPE, fall protection, and other required safety equipment.
• Operate bucket truck equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment, materials, brush, and debris.
• Drive company trucks and trailers between jobsites.
• Supervise crew members and provide clear direction throughout the workday.
• Maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, and jobsites in good working condition.
• Communicate job progress, material needs, equipment issues, and safety concerns to management.
• Interact professionally with customers and answer basic job-related questions.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the customer's satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company policies and applicable safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL Class A required.
• Previous tree industry experience required.
• Bucket truck experience required.
• Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, and other tree-care equipment.
• Experience with tree trimming and/or tree removal.
• Previous crew-lead or foreman experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to safely work at heights and around heavy equipment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be safety-minded and able to lead by example.
