Budget Analyst

DutiesHelpDevelop a balanced funding request that complies with published fiscal constraints.Ensure expenditures of funds are in accordance with established regulations.Develop justification statements for multi-year appropriations.Recommend approval or disapproval of requests for funds.Develop an obligation plan for the systematic use of funds provided.Provide guidance to staff on a variety of financial management questions.Coordinate various services to manage reimbursable programs.Monitor funding execution using automated budgetary systems.Ensure the accuracy of the formal accounting records.Present budget estimates to the command to convey budget constraints.Prepare justification for requests for additional funding.Analyze a variety of complex budgeting policies to determine overall impact to the organization.Interpret data and operational plans to understand financial needs.Review financial reports for payroll appropriations.
