Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) plays a critical role in the delivery of patient care within an Interventional Radiology setting. This position involves providing care to patients undergoing interventional procedures while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.Shift Details4 days per week, 10-hour shiftsShift hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PMCall requirements: Weeknight call approximately every 2 weeks; weekend call every 6 weeksDepartment InformationThe Interventional Radiology department consists of:3 IR Suites (Jones 5)2 IR Suites (Buck 5)The team supports various service lines including Body IR, Vascular Intervention, and Neuro Intervention.Key ResponsibilitiesCirculate IR cases and manage procedural sedation.Monitor and sedate patients while performing pre/post-admission and recovery workflows.Collaborate with IR Techs to ensure safe and effective patient care.Patient PopulationThe IR RN will care for patients with a range of diagnoses, including:StrokeNeuro interventions (such as Coiling, Stents, Embolization)AngiogramsVascular interventionsQualifications1 year of nursing experience required, with a strong preference for travel experience.Prior experience in Interventional Radiology is mandatory, including procedural experience with moderate sedation.Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Technical SkillsFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential, specifically with Epic.Orientation and TrainingNew hires will undergo a 1-week orientation, which includes:General hospital orientation3 days of on-unit trainingWeekend buddy call for additional supportLocationThis position is located in a dynamic healthcare environment in the Pacific Northwest region, emphasizing collaborative teamwork and professional growth.
