Salary Range

• 37,127.79–$40,840.54 annually
• 1,427.99–$1,570.79 bi‑weekly

The hiring salary may exceed the maximum posted salary. Position Summary This is a position established as an Education and Training Specialist Staff Development at Sunland. This position requires highly responsible, professional work in developing, coordinating, conducting, evaluating and monitoring job and position‑specific staff training activities which includes classroom and practice instruction. Prepares and conducts a wide range of developmental services training activities for management, professional and non‑professional Sunland and community Developmental Services staff. The Work You Will Do Instructs employees in required subjects contributing to a well‑trained, competent work force. Conducts refresher testing/training in assigned units/departments to ensure staff are current with requirements. Ensures curriculum in assigned lead classes is up-to-date and is linked to Agency's and Sunland's mission, vision, values and covers current Agency and Sunland policies and procedures. Maintains certifications in CPR and other required subject areas, increases expertise with additional certifications to meet the changing needs of employees. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to lift 40 lbs independently. Must be able to transfer from kneeling to standing position repeatedly. Must be able to present training both verbally and written. At least one year of prior teaching or training experience. Preferred: CPR Instructor Certification. Preferred: Valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Skills in effective classroom teaching/presentations. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments for self. Ability to prepare reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to present presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
