Travel ICU RN - Lewisville, TX

Deliver high-acuity care as a vital part of an Intensive Care Unit nursing team. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses committed to clinical excellence and compassionate patient-centered practice.


Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, rotating schedule
• 36 or 40 hours per week, per contract
• Every other weekend required
• Possible on-call responsibilities (discuss details during interview)

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• At least 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in Meditech electronic documentation
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations
• Specialty experience or certifications in critical care highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Level III Trauma Center
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, intervening rapidly in emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to develop individualized plans
• Safely administer medications, manage advanced equipment, and interpret lab results
• Educate patients and families on procedures, care plans, and recovery processes
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate records in Meditech
• Float to other units as required, following established facility guidelines
• Uphold all hospital protocols for patient safety and infection control

Professional Appearance:

• Navy blue scrubs required
• No artificial nails or extreme hair styles/colors
• Tattoos should be covered; only ear piercings allowed
