Certified Medical Assistant Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for the New York, NY location to support our client in a healthcare setting. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Schedule - 40hr/week 27 weeks contract MondayThursday: 7:45 AM 4:30 PM Friday: 7:45 AM 4:00 PM Pay- $21 to $23/hr on W2 Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures. Escort and room patients in a timely manner while ensuring a positive patient experience. Obtain and document vital signs, vision screenings, and other authorized clinical assessments. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, ensuring accurate labeling and laboratory processing. Process specimens for transport and maintain proper documentation in EPIC. Prepare electronic prescriptions for physician review and processing. Clean, sterilize, and maintain clinical instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Communicate patient needs and concerns effectively to the healthcare team. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and organizational policies. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting. Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience. Current BLS Certification. Strong clinical skills and patient care experience. Knowledge of EPIC or other electronic medical record systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
