Join the General Medical-Surgical team at Community Hospital of Stokes as a Respiratory Therapist II, where you'll provide essential respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical needs. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work independently within your specialty while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care.

Facility: Community Hospital of Stokes | Location: Danbury, NC | Position Type: Full-Time | Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Day Shift

What You'll Do

• Assess patient respiratory needs and provide appropriate respiratory care and interventions
• Perform respiratory procedures including arterial blood gases (ABGs), bronchial hygiene therapy, and other prescribed treatments
• Administer and evaluate respiratory medication therapies and monitor patient response
• Prioritize care based on patient needs, changing acuity levels, and medical orders
• Provide advanced respiratory support during critical and emergent situations
• Manage ventilators and assist with airway management, Code Blue response, and other critical care interventions
• Interpret blood gas results and provide appropriate interventions according to established protocols
• Serve as a patient advocate and incorporate patient and family education into the interdisciplinary plan of care
• Assist with patient transfers and transportation as needed
• Practice independently within the Respiratory Care specialty in accordance with applicable standards and requirements
• Accurately document respiratory care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required.
