Blood Bank Medical Technologist/MLT - Hopewell - Per Diem - Day

Job Title

Capital Health is seeking a professional for a position that involves performing accurate and timely varied or specialized testing in Blood Bank.

The role requires adherence to infection control practices and established standards for quality assurance.

The position also involves performing all testing accurately within assigned sections using computer linked automated electronic equipment and/or manual methodologies, reporting clinical data accurately and efficiently, performing statistical analysis relevant to analytical methodologies in use, instructing student technicians and staff members as required, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care, preparing blood samples and body fluids for analysis, using knowledge of quality control methods in determining the acceptability of results, performing procedures and minor repairs relevant to the routine operation and maintenance of analytical equipment, and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in science related field or HEW certification as a medical technologist in lieu of BS degree.
• Experience: Previous clinical laboratory employment.
• Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with personal computers. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Usual Work Day: 8 Hours
