LSR Wellness is a concierge adult primary care practice on the Main Line seeking an experienced Lead Certified Medical Assistant to join our Haverford office.

Our practice is intentionally small and highly personalized, with a low volume of daily patient encounters. This allows our physicians and clinical staff to focus on providing excellent, individualized care and an exceptional patient experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys direct patient care and a meaningful leadership role within the clinical support team. The Lead MA will provide day-to-day leadership of our Medical Assistants while remaining actively involved in clinical care and patient support. The position includes MA scheduling, workflow and task oversight, new-hire training, and maintaining consistently high standards across the clinical support team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Medical Assistant team, including staff scheduling, task and workflow management, onboarding, and training of new MAs.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments.
• Prepare patients for visits, obtain and document vital signs and other clinical information in the EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect and prepare specimens, and assist with in-office laboratory testing.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms in accordance with practice and OSHA standards.
• Maintain clinical and laboratory supplies and manage appropriate inventory.
• Help coordinate patient visits before, during, and after each encounter, ensuring that necessary follow-up is completed and documented.
• Assist with patient scheduling and respond to patient telephone calls, messages, and electronic communications in a timely and professional manner.
• Support physicians and our outside billing specialists with encounter and claim-related processes.
• Work collaboratively across clinical and front-office functions to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or comparable recognized Medical Assistant certification.
• Prior experience leading or supervising Medical Assistants.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with specimen collection and in-office testing.
• Significant experience with electronic health records; experience with Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or another primary-care EHR is particularly valuable.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and common office productivity applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual and able to perform the responsibilities of the position on a consistent and predictable basis.
• Familiarity with medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding and reimbursement processes is preferred.
