We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, process oncology prescriptions, handle insurance billing, and support patients navigating complex therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prescription Management: Prepare, fill, and dispense prescriptions accurately; verify controlled substance requests according to regulations.
• Data Entry & Billing: Enter patient data into QS1 and OncoEMR; submit insurance claims, troubleshoot rejections, and process prior authorizations.
• Financial Services: Post payments, resolve billing discrepancies, and help patients enroll in financial assistance programs.
• Patient Care: Conduct follow-ups for the oral chemotherapy monitoring program and escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Inventory & Compliance: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, check expiration dates, and maintain records in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) and state registration.
• Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience; background in oncology or specialty pharmacy is preferred.
• Software Skills: Familiarity with QS1 and OncoEMR systems.
• Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance billing, prior authorizations, and healthcare compliance (HIPAA).
• Skills: High attention to detail, strong organization, and professional communication skills.
