Lighthouse Youth & Family Services
Overview Lighthouse Youth & Family Services helps young people in need heal and grow. Lighthouse offers an integrated system of care for youth ages 0-24, including emergency shelter, foster care and adoption, mental and behavioral health services, residential treatment, community juvenile justice services, youth housing, and OhioRISE, a specialized managed care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multisystem needs. The Lighthouse team meets the individual needs of each young person and focuses on their strengths as they work to meet their goals. Lighthouse provides inclusive and affirming care for all young people, and every young person and family are treated with dignity and respect. Leading the effort to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati, Lighthouse is the only local organization focused on serving young people experiencing homelessness and provides Cincinnati’s first and only local emergency shelter for ages 10-17. Every night, approximately 400 young people sleep under a Lighthouse roof. Young Professional involvement Lighthouse Youth & Family Services welcomes young professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area to act as public advocates to help advance the dignity and well-being of those in need. This leadership position is ideal for those who are interested in furthering the Lighthouse mission. Who qualifies as a "young professional"? Community-centric volunteers under 40 years of age who are enthusiastic about sharing how Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is serving youth and families in crisis. This is a great way to meet other young professionals with similar ideals. If you are interested, email Lyndsey to be added to our mailing list and join one of our monthly meetings.
