Medical Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional **Medical Front Desk / Medical Assistant** to join our busy diagnostic imaging center in **Perth Amboy, NJ**. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable speaking with patients, able to multitask, and has strong customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in patients.
• Answering incoming phone calls and scheduling appointments.
• Confirming patient information and insurance details.
• Communicating with doctors' offices to obtain prescriptions, authorizations, and other required information.
• Entering patient information accurately into the system.
• Assisting patients with forms and general questions.
• Managing faxes, emails, medical records, and incoming documents.
• Following up with patients and referring physician offices.
• Keeping the front desk organized and providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting the office with other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical office, front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
• Strong phone and communication skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and professional.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with medical terminology, insurance verification, or prior authorizations is a plus.
