Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder and fabricator who can proficiently perform MIG welding on steel. Mastery of stick, flux core, and MIG welding techniques is essential, along with the ability to weld and fabricate on various types of steel, such as aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll. The ideal candidate should be capable of out-of-position welding in overhead, vertical, and horizontal positions, and must be familiar with using blueprints and various measuring tools for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick, flux core, and MIG welding.
• Fabricate and weld on different types of steel including aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll.
• Execute out-of-position welding, including overhead, vertical, and horizontal.
• Interpret and work from blueprints.
• Utilize tape measures, gauges, squares, and other measuring tools to ensure precision.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG and flux core welding.
• Experience with fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Skill in using hand tools such as tape measures and squares.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a custom weld shop.
• TIG welding experience is a plus but not required.
• Must possess personal tools including a locking toolbox, scrapers, hammers, pliers, welding hood, file set, and flashlight.

Work Environment

The position is based on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The work environment is equipped with essential welding technologies and tools, ensuring a productive and efficient workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, IN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
