Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse MS/Tele (Orthopedic Spine) – South Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract with 12-hour shifts; nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5-6; every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract); 12-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• Specialized 26-bed orthopedic spine telemetry unit focusing on post-operative spinal surgery care including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
• Integrated care model featuring comprehensive pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support
• Epic EMR charting system with 1 year of Epic experience required
• Level I Adult Trauma Center with advanced specialty programs in a 641-bed regional teaching medical center
• Diverse patient population including Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and DVT/PE
• Special procedures include bedside lumbar puncture, post-cath care, post-surgical and post-renal biopsy care, CT angio, and heparin drips

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina or multistate RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1-2 years recent orthopedic nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Dysrhythmia certification
• Experience with 5-6 patient ratios preferred
• Community hospital and previous charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered based on distance requirements
