Supervisor Data Center Operations

Serves as Operations Supervisor for systems in the computer Data center to ensure maximum availability of IS infrastructure. The IS infrastructure is critical to the operation of the SPR. Daily operations and drawdown systems rely heavily on the IS infrastructure being operational, making this position critical to meeting mission support requirements. Supervise a team of Network Engineers, distribute work assignments to team members, provide guidance and coordination’s of effort, monitor completion, and evaluate the quality of work performed. Ensure effective project management of IS projects that affect overall productivity, from the requirements phase through the implementation phase to meet operational needs. Responsible for all network hardware and software; interact with vendors and other Data Systems departments to resolve technical issues and ensure systems meet the operational requirements for functional departmental use. Perform configuration management functions for all network resources by maintaining network drawings and documentation, allowing for effective problem resolution and impact analysis of changes to the infrastructure. Participate in departmental budget formulation and execution to ensure IS budget is managed per IS long range plan submitted to DOE. Propose, evaluate, and participate in the procurement process for information systems hardware and software, making final technical decisions on best of breed solutions for IS projects. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 10 years of network experience OR HS Diploma and 12 years of networking experience. Strong understanding of server virtualization, Microsoft Domain administration, Microsoft M365 cloud services, modern device management, Windows and Linux Server administration, PowerShell scripting (write and troubleshoot), Citrix infrastructure administration, and Cisco networking. Certifications, licenses, or professional credentials as appropriate. Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Real ID required for onsite interview access.
