Registered Nurse Coor Transplant- Ventricular Assistive Device Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit Main Campus Responsibilities Support patients with advanced heart failure who receive mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices. Manage the full care pathway from patient identification and evaluation to implantation and long‑term follow‑up. Coordinate multidisciplinary care and device management. Provide patient and staff education regarding device use and care. Coordinate long‑term care and data collection for continuous quality improvement. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to MCS and transplant care. Provide on‑call coverage Monday‑Friday, nights, and weekends, as required. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting. Experience in an outpatient setting is required; RN ICU or Operating Room experience is preferred. Background in cardiology is ideal. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patient‑care personnel and relate to patients and families. Analytical ability and motivation to plan, deliver, and implement care plans in acute and outpatient situations. Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
