Cabinet Shop Employee Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Employee to join our team. This position is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and preparing high-quality custom cabinetry and storage solutions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in producing quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Operate woodworking machinery, including panel saws, edgebanders, drill presses, and other shop equipment. Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production schedules. Cut, machine, assemble, and prepare cabinet components according to specifications. Install hardware, drawer slides, hinges, and other cabinet accessories. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment as assigned. Load and unload materials and finished products. Assist with inventory management and material handling. Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality. Qualifications Previous cabinet shop, woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate power tools and woodworking equipment. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Basic math and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills Knowledge of laminate, melamine, plywood, and hardwood materials. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
