This position is designed for a Workday expert who thrives in high-magnitude, rapidly evolving setting where your work goes far beyond basic system upkeep.We seek a curious, innovative self-starter who takes ownership of their projects and constantly pursues process improvements. You should possess a strong attention to detail balanced with a strategic perspective, excel when empowered to move quickly and solve problems independently, and be dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for both employees and managers.The Impact You Will MakeOwn the People Technology PlatformOwn and evolve the architecture, configuration, and performance of Workday as the core of the People Technology ecosystemDesign scalable, extensible solutions that go beyond configuration and improve how employees and managers interact with systemsTranslate business needs into well-architected solutions using configuration, APIs, integrations, and automation frameworksBuild AI-Enabled Experiences & AutomationDesign and implement intelligent automation that reduces manual work and enables scale across People OperationsLeverage AI to enhance employee experiences including self-service, case deflection, knowledge retrieval, and workflow orchestrationPartner in shaping an AI-first People Experience using tools such as Workday AI alongwith emerging AI technologiesIdentify and implement opportunities to embed AI into workflows across onboarding,support, and employee lifecycle momentsPlatform Engineering & System DesignOperate with a platform mindset by building reusable, scalable solutions across systems and processesDesign and optimize business processes with a focus on performance, scalability, compliance, and simplicityEnsure strong data integrity, governance, and system reliability across the HR technology stackIntegrations, APIs & ConnectivityDesign, build, and optimize integrations between Workday and external systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven patternsEnable seamless data flow and interoperability across systems such as payroll, benefits, and workforce toolsContribute to a connected and flexible HR technology ecosystem that can evolve withthe businessDrive Transformation & ScalePlay a key role in major initiatives including M&A integrations, system implementations, and organizational scalingHelp evolve the HR tech ecosystem into a modern, AI-enabled platformContribute to building a best-in-class People Technology functionWhat You Bring to the Table5 to 8+ years of experience in HR Technology, People Systems, or related platform rolesStrong hands-on experience with Workday across multiple modulesExperience beyond configuration including integrations, APIs, automation, or systemdesignFamiliarity with tools and capabilities such as Workday Extend, Prism, or similar platformtechnologiesUnderstanding of integration patterns, data flows, and system architecture conceptsStrong experience with business process design, data models, and reporting andanalyticsProven ability to independently own and deliver complex solutions end-to-endExperience in high-growth, fast-paced, or transformation environmentsAs a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.#LI-HybridNew York: $138,000 - $145,500 per year.Illinois: $124,000 - $131,000 per year.Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located.
