If you're ready to apply your expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater design to meaningful projects, this role is for you.What You'll Do:Design construction plans, contract documents, quantity takeoffs, and opinions of probable construction cost for stormwater capital-improvement projectsPerform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water-quality analyses for open-channel and closed-conduit stormwater systemsDesign site-specific best management practices, including conventional, low-impact-development, and stormwater volume-control solutionsPrepare permit applications and supporting documentation for regulatory approvalDevelop one- and two-dimensional hydrologic and hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, technical exhibits, and drainage reportsApply Autodesk Civil 3D and water-resources modeling software to prepare and refine designsCoordinate with clients, project managers, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams throughout project deliveryManage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectationsWhat You Bring:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems EngineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain (PE path strongly preferred)3–5 years of experience in water resources engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysisStrong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, stormwater design, and water-quality analysisWorking knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3DExperience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, and ArcGIS preferredExperience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling is a plusStrong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlinesClient-service mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhy Thomas & Hutton?Competitive salary plus performance bonusCondensed work schedule for better work-life balanceTop-tier health, dental, vision, and prescription coverageRetirement plan, generous PTO, and holidaysThomas & Hutton University with professional-development hours and continuing-education opportunitiesGraduate and undergraduate tuition-reimbursement programsIn-house Civil 3D training to support technical growthSchedule:On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.How To Apply:Ready to design water-resources solutions that support resilient communities?
